A Joyful Noise, which began as a Mother’s Day Out Program, started in 1987 to provide a place at Kenilworth Union Church to take care of our children while mothers ran errands or took time for themselves. The program was a very welcome part of the week for many mothers and children. In 1993, it was extended to include a Christian Preschool for our membership. Parents had expressed interest in augmenting the Christian nurture and education of their children from Sunday morning into the week. The Christian Education Department of Kenilworth Union Church was in agreement and supported the work for the first year (1993) as we studied and planned for our opening of the 1994-1995 school year.
